In January 2008 the FAA granted an exemption to EAA and ASC that
would allow aircraft owners who have registered their aircraft by
January 31st, 2008 to have until January 31st, 2010 to get their
airworthiness inspection completed. Please contact EAA or ASC for
details. After speaking with EAA or ASC please contact us to schedule an
appointment for your inspection.
A DAR is a Designated Airworthiness Representative who is appointed by
the local FSDO (Flight Standards District Office) after a selection
process and special training by the FAA. Each DAR is assigned to the
FSDO's geographical area, but can perform certification activities
outside the geographical area with approval from the DAR's FSDO and
the FSDO for that area.
Brian McCallen the owner of Light Sport Repair Services Inc is a DAR
authorized to perform the following function codes. Function Code 47-Issue airworthiness certificates for Experimental
Light Sport Aircraft (Airplane and Powered Parachute). Function Code 48-Issue airworthiness certificates and production
flight test permits for Special Light Sport Aircraft (Airplane and Powered Parachute).
Airworthiness inspections for PPC and WSC are $300
and AP is $350.
